- Abstract
The author discusses the activities of the Scientific council on thе complex problem “Optimal planning and national economy management” (Academy of Sciences of the USSR) in 1980s—1990s. Thus, this article logically follows the article by Alexander I. Stavchikov on the functioning of this Council in the previous decade. The author relates the major national conferences, planned and held by the Scientific Council in the Republics of the USSR. He also pays special attention to exceptional management style proper to his Chairman Academician Nikolay P. Fedorenko.
