- Abstract
- For the first time, an attempt is made to mathematically formalize the theory of business cycles by I. Schumpeter using the model of Markov random processes of reproduction and death. Explicit solutions have been obtained that describe the dynamics of ups and downs in economic activity caused by technological shocks. The stability of the model is shown under the influence of a random number of random supply shocks. Curves of cyclical fluctuations in economic activity are plotted.
