Аннотация

В статье рассматривается культурный феномен суперзлодея комиксов издательства «Ди-си комикс» (DC Comics) и снятых по их мотивам фильмов, включая последнюю, восторженно принятую публикой и высоко оцененную критикой, но также спровоцировавшую широкую общественную полемику кинокартину режиссёра Тода Филлипса «Джокер» (Joker, 2019). Как популярный архетип, глубоко укоренившийся в американском сознании и за свою 80-летнюю историю отражавший тёмную сторону различных эпох истории США, Джокер предлагает ключ к пониманию актуальных общественных процессов и политических реалий. С момента своего появления в 1940 г., через моральную панику 1950-х, эскапизм и разочарование рейгановского правления, Джокер выступал в качестве барометра царивших в американском обществе настроений.

Вышедшая в разгар культурной войны и племенной политики в США, разделивших страну на два непримиримых лагеря, картина Филлипса угодила в самую сердцевину противостояния между правыми и левыми, консерваторами и либералами, реакционерами и прогрессивистами, которые обнаружили в ней что-то своё (или чуждое), став на данный момент главным голливудским киновысказыванием эпохи президентства Д. Трампа.

Автор приходит к выводу, что фильм не только не стал причиной массовых убийств в реальной жизни, как опасались его недоброжелатели, но в значительной степени оказал оздоровляющее воздействие на публичный дискурс, послужив поводом для важной дискуссии о текущих тревогах, связанных с насилием, социальными волнениями, идео-логическим тупиком эры позднего капитализма и кризисом мужской идентичности.
