- Abstract
- The paper presents the approaches to the migration concept definition and analyses of criteria of a periodization of migratory processes in Latin America. The highlighted main historical stages are based on different mechanisms and fundamental parameters. Every unique feature set produced a specific migration model. Each main stage during the colonial and independence periods produced its own internal mechanisms of migration.
