Abstract

The particularities of social psychology historical development in the USSR, specifity of its present condition as frontier discipline between sociology and psychology are discussed in the article. General outlines of social psychology as a science, its the main divisions are planned. The author analyses methodological and theoretical principles of Marxist social psychology and shows the main directions of applied researches and the role of socio-psychological knwoledge in perfection of social processes control in the socialist society.
