- Abstract
- The article is devoted to the analysis of sustainable development. The problems of forming a concept, defining goals, and identifying the institutional prerequisites necessary for the transition to this path are analyzed. The problems of economic, environmental, political and institutional balance and their interrelation are considered. The necessity of creating conditions that allow us to move to the symbiosis of man with nature-the fundamental principle of sustainable development. The main link that determines the nature and pace of movement towards sustainable development - knowledge and its Creator - science. It is shown that the obstacles that stand in this way for Russia are primarily related to the peculiarities of its social system.
