- Abstract
- The article deals with questions of formation, evolution, legal status and activity of the Authorized Institute of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights. The structure, activity and assistant services: Secretariat, Consultative board, Commission on observance to constitutional human rights and freedoms, Expert council, regional representative were analyzed enough in detail. The well founded analysis of the activity of the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights was strengthened by illustration ofpractical activity of the Ombudsman, results of its mutual-activity with state organs and social organizations. The article contains critical analysis of some norms of current legislation, reveals problems of legal protection practice on the basis of which the recommendations were made on improvement of laws and raising the effectiveness of Ombudsman’ s activity.
