Abstract
The article deals with regional integration in Africa, in particular the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD), the history of its creation; institutional structure; areas of cooperation, programs and regulations developed within its framework. Organization successfully implemented a number ofprojects in the economic sphere and in the sphere of security. The plans of the organization concern creation of its own free trade area, and further the transition to a common market of States Parties.
