- The article is concerned with most important and much discussed problems of interpretation of "The Queen of Spades": real v. fantastic in its plot, madness of the protagonist, opposition of the old aristocracy and the "new nobility". Connection between "The Queen of Spades" and other Pushkin's late works is emphasised.
